Each year over 50,000 tonnes of steel rebar is unloaded at the berth, from countries such as Turkey, Latvia, Poland and France to name a few. This is held in storage for various customers before being shipped out either by rail or road. It is common to see up to four shippments a week on the rail network alone. |

Total Ship Service also despatches fabric mesh and coils, produced by Mittal Steel Kent Wire Limited, throughout the UK, via the rail link, or aboard to Norway and Ireland, via the berth. |

In addition to this, each year, TSS unloads 120,000 tonnes of steel feed stock coils, dispatched from Germany, on Kent Wires' behalf.
